As a whole

Constantly regarded as one but, never as a whole. Constantly remembered, compared or judged as just a piece of our persona. The complete sense of ourselves lost in a perspective imposed by others. Bound, to be just one piece of myself and never to be recognized as my all. We are born as this, we live as this and we die as this. Recognized as only a piece of what we are.

Immerse in my complete devotion to find my soul I enter this realm. Constant hide and seek to find who I am. I start to suspend all judment on myself and, I start looking into my deepest emotions. Running an endless marathon I finally find my answer amist an ocean of possibilities. Completely aware that what I’ve found is to be in constant change. I take in my arms and keep running. I never want to lose it again. I had to shatter the barriers of who I was taught I am and will be.

This text is for you. The one who as a child didn´t believed in me. The one who said to a young child ¨You were born here and, you will most probably die here. You will be nothing¨. To you I say this. I´m more than what you think I was and you are more than what you think you are.

Beauty carased by the wind and touched by the sun reflected in my eyes imprinted in me the naturally diverse place I belong to. Surrounded by a cristal clear ocean in a place of enchantment an islander resides. Sentiments I can only express in my native language saved for all that share our history, dance to the rhythm of our music and appreaciate our culture. Surrounded by shared history and preoccupations a hispanic-american resides. Lost it all when I gathered the courage to reveal what I couldn’t help. Washed away by the constant rejection of my fellows and terrified of the future. I´m now completely overwhelmed by the hope I own and the love I have found. Experiences shared by many, still under the constant atack and rejection of some. Sharing love resides a member of the LGBT+ community.
